Golf Digest’s Top 100 In Music. Anybody who watches the AT&T from Pebble Beach knows that horn player and jazz maven Kenny G is a pretty fair golfer, as is singer and former beauty pageant contestant Justin Timberlake

But who knew that country crooner Vince Gill was a plus-.3 handicap, putting him at the top of Golf Digest’s latest compliation of Top 100 golfers in the music industry? Or that Alice Cooper is still a single-digit handicap?

The best part of the list, of course, is that it offered a reason to come up with this old photo of the one and only Willie Nelson playing golf. Willie by the way, still sports a 20 handicap.

Philadelphia Section PGA using Little League model to grow Junior Golf. As those of us that play the game already know, golf is very rich in tradition and history. Unfortunately, some of the things that make the game so special are also some of the things that are keeping it from growing.

To non-golfers the game portrays a certain image that makes it difficult to attract new people to the sport. Golf can be a time consuming, difficult sport, with a lot of complicated rules. These are not qualities that appeal to many people when it comes to learning a new hobby. It is important that beginners and juniors view golf as a fun, interactive game they can enjoy with their friends.
